The Pol-E-Duc series of Polymer Makedown Systems are an ideal means to make down uniform, consistent preparations of dry polymers and other difficult-to-wet powders.
The Pol-E-Duc series of Polymer Makedown Systems are an ideal means to make down uniform, consistent preparations of dry polymers and other difficult-to-wet powders. These systems are highly efficient and incorporate features to ensure reliable, trouble free operation. All powder transfer is done by vacuum, which minimizes the potential for dusting and the spread of airborne particles. The product line includes a range of capacities and configurations to meet specific process requirements. Uniform, consistent streams. The high energy within the eductor insures fully dispersed material. Polymers are fully activated to optimum size and free of ‘fish-eyes': clays and other powders are uniform, smooth dispersions free of lumps or agglomerates of material. Safety and cleanliness. Since the system operates under vacuum, any leaks are drawn into the unit, rather than dispersed as airborne particles as is the case with systems that operate by pressure. Workplaces stay cleaner: safety compliance (particularly important in dealing with silicas and clays) is enhanced. Aging. Aging intervals are dramatically reduced since the polymers are fully activated during the initial makeup. Smaller volumes of fresh material can be provided, reducing waste and disposal problems associated with over extended shelf life of working solutions. Reliable, reproducible results. All systems incorporate closed loop controls which assure tight control over all processing variables. Concentrations, volumes and makeup times remain constant from batch to batch. Flush cycles prevent build up of material between batches.
